Finance & Operations Manager

 

Our client is a well-established and internationally active MedTech company with a strong market position and a collaborative, people-oriented culture. To strengthen the local management team, we are looking for a hands-on and experienced Finance & Operations Manager who enjoys combining operational finance leadership with process improvement and cross-functional responsibility.

 



Finance & Operations Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who likes to be close to the business, lead a small team and actively contribute to the company's continued success.

Your Responsibilities

As Finance & Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the Swiss finance function while leading a team of 5–6 employees. In addition to Finance, you will oversee Payroll, Customer Service, Procurement and IT coordination.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility for the Swiss accounting function, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and month-/year-end closings
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with Swiss accounting standards
  • Responsibility for Swiss payroll and coordination with external partners where required
  • Budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and management reporting
  • Analysis of financial results, KPIs and business performance, providing meaningful insights to management
  • Driving process improvements, automation and digitalisation within Finance and Operations
  • Acting as SAP key user for Finance processes and ensuring data quality
  • Coordination with auditors, tax advisors and corporate finance teams
  • Leadership, coaching and development of a team of 5–6 employees
  • Close collaboration with Management and other business functions to support operational excellence


Your Profile

  • Swiss Federal Diploma in Accounting & Finance (Fachausweis Finanz- und Rechnungswesen) or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance and Controlling within an international company
  • Previous leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop employees
  • Solid experience with the Swiss accounting system, including statutory reporting and Swiss payroll (Abacus)
  • Excellent SAP knowledge (mandatory)
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Business fluent German and English
  • Structured, hands-on and pragmatic working style with excellent analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
