Accountant - Venture Capital
who is eager to develop further in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
This role offers hands-on exposure to the financial backbone of a top-tier VC firm and is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working with modern finance tools, and growing alongside a highly professional, international team.
Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the Swiss entity and selected portfolio companies, while continuously expanding your responsibilities and expertise.
Your role
- Independent management of in-house accounting for the Swiss entity in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations
- Participation in monthly and annual closings and exposure to audit processes
- Preparation and review of Swiss VAT reconciliations and filings
- Ownership and continuous improvement of expense processes and related tools
- Active involvement in budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analyses
- Close collaboration with the finance team and direct interaction with the Head of Finance
- Contribution to cross-functional projects and ad-hoc finance initiatives, offering insight beyond pure accounting
Your profile
- Several years of experience in accounting (ideally around 5 years), preferably in a fiduciary firm, financial services, or a similar environment
- Relevant accounting qualification or fiduciary certification
- Solid knowledge of Swiss accounting standards (OR) and local tax regulations
- A structured, detail-oriented mindset combined with a strong willingness to learn and evolve
- Hands-on attitude, sense of ownership, and proactive working style
- Team-oriented personality who enjoys responsibility and collaboration in a dynamic setting
- Strong interest in venture capital, funds, and the startup ecosystem
- Advanced Excel skills and affinity for data-driven analysis
- Experience with Abacus or modern finance systems is an advantage
- Fluent in German and English
- Valid Swiss residence permit
