Trader Soft Commodities (Fruits)
By carefully familiarising yourself with the structure of the company, you will take over a successfully established portfolio of suppliers and customers in Europe, Asia and South America from your predecessor and be responsible for P/L in your market.
Your task and responsibility:
- Taking over an existing supplier and customer trading book as well as the current trading positions
- Expansion of business through optimisation and targeted acquisition in compliance with the specified margin policy
- Tracking short and long positions
- Obtaining market information for business development
- Anticipating market developments in terms of prices and availability
- Visiting customers and suppliers on site (travelling approx. 10 - 20%)
- Active communication with the logistics and finance department as well as quality management to ensure that all tasks are successfully completed and deadlines are met.
Your experience and personality:
- Degree in Business Administration
- Several years of experience as a Trader, ideally in the food / near food sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Native German speaker, written and spoken English at proficiency level, any other language is welcome
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to recognise problems and ensure timely solutions.
