Head of Accounting / Finance Manager (100% on-site)

To further strengthen the finance function, we are looking for an experienced, hands-on

Head of Accounting / Finance Manager (100%, on-site)

who will take full responsibility for the accounting function and act as a sparring partner to senior management.

Your Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the financial accounting function (general ledger and sub-ledgers)
• Functional and people management of a small, specialized finance team
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Swiss GAAP OR (IFRS knowledge an advantage)
• Management of account reconciliations, accruals and provisions
• Ensuring the correct accounting treatment of trading transactions
• Preparation and further development of management reporting (P&L, cost and profitability analyses)
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial analyses
• Responsibility for VAT (Swiss and international) and coordination of tax-related matters with external advisors
• Coordination and collaboration with external trustees, auditors and tax advisors
• Continuous improvement of financial processes, internal controls and systems
• Close cooperation with Trading, Operations and senior management

Your Profile

• Completed professional qualification in Finance & Accounting (e.g. Swiss Federal Diploma) or a degree in Business Administration
• Several years of experience in Accounting / Finance, ideally within commodity trading or finance industry
• Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP OR, VAT and Swiss accounting standards
• Proven leadership experience, ideally in managing small teams
• Structured, reliable and independent working style with a hands-on mindset
• Strong analytical skills and business-oriented thinking
• Confident communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken)
• you are living in Zug area (no hybrid working solution)
